  10. 10Final Pour: Why Nashville Belongs on Every Beer Lover’s Travel List

If you think Nashville is all country music and whiskey, think again. Nashville has quietly become a craft beer destination in its own right. Whether you’re planning a guys’ trip, bachelor party, birthday weekend, or just love a good brewery crawl, there’s no shortage of incredible things to do in Nashville for beer lovers.

From hop-on beer trolleys and pedal taverns to behind-the-scenes brewery tours and taprooms with 70+ options on draft, here’s how to experience the best of craft beer in Nashville, from a local’s perspective.

Why Nashville Is a Great City for Beer Lovers

Nashville now boasts more than 40 breweries, a growing list of beer festivals, and several easy ways to explore them, making it a must-visit for any beer-focused traveler. Whether you're into hoppy IPAs, crisp lagers, or rich barrel-aged stouts, there’s a pour (and a tour) for you here.

Hop Aboard: The Music City Brew Hop Brewery Trolley

The Easiest Way to Explore Nashville Breweries Without Driving

If you're wondering “Is Nashville a good beer city?”, The Music City Brew Hop trolley tour makes the answer crystal clear. It’s perfect for first-time visitors and a go-to recommendation when folks ask, “Where should craft beer fans go in Nashville?”.

This hop on hop off trolley takes you to 6 different locally owned breweries along two different loops, East and West. It runs from noon till 7pm Fridays, Sundays.

I always suggest starting this beer crawl early for less crowds, best patio vibes, and enough time to hit five or six breweries. It’s an excellent way to lean into Nashville’s craft-beer culture with zero driving needed.

This tour was an absolute blast! A great way to get off Broadway and experience some delicious breweries.

Pedal and Sip: The Bikes and Brews Tour

A Craft Beer Adventure on Two Wheels Through the City

Prefer your beer adventures with a little exercise and sunshine? The Bikes and Brews Tour is a guided ride through some of Nashville’s coolest neighborhoods, complete with stops at local breweries for tastings and snacks.

I love this tour because you don’t just drink, you move. The bike stops vary based on season (think YeeHaw Brewing, Monday Night Brewing, and Bearded Iris), and you see neighborhoods most visitors miss.

“Our tour guide Austin was amazing! He taught us so much history … unforgettable experience.”

Walkable Downtown Taproom: Yee-Haw Brewing Company

Big Patio, Big Flavor, and Easy Access from Broadway

Yee-Haw is one of my go-to brewery recs for first-timers in town. Why? It’s central, lively without being chaotic, and incredibly easy to pair with a downtown itinerary. You can sip a cold IPA or Kölsch on the patio, wander next door to Ole Smoky for moonshine, and still be back on Broadway in minutes.

They frequently host trivia nights, live music, and release parties, and there’s plenty of seating if you're with a group. Their Dunkel, Cerveza, and IPA are fan favorites.

We stopped in here before dinner and ended up staying 3 hours! Great beer, great atmosphere, and a fun crowd.

Broadway Brewhouse: 72 Beers and Ciders on Tap Right on Broadway

A Beer Lover’s Oasis in the Heart of Broadway

Broadway Brewhouse is the kind of spot beer drinkers search for in a tourist-heavy zone, and it delivers. With 72 taps of local and regional beer and cider, it’s a haven just steps away from the honky tonks.

It’s also a favorite of service industry folks and locals who want a relaxed place with TVs, solid food, and reliable drinks. If you're in town for a game or event, this is where I'd recommend grabbing a pre-show beer. Their legendary Bushwacker (an adult frozen milkshake) is a fun twist if you want to switch it up, Our owner Christine says that it, “Tastes like the adult version of a Wendy’s Frosty.”

“So many beers on tap it was overwhelming, in a good way. Chill crowd, great staff. Highly recommend.”

Local Tip

Broadway Brewhouse makes all of their food from scratch. I love their nachos, chili, red beans and rice, and so much more. It’s a delicious (and inexpensive) way to get a meal in with your beer so that you can move on to more craft brew experiences.
