"My husband and I had a wonderful time. Kyle, our tour guide, was very professional, caring, and clearly committed to providing the best tour possible. His storytelling was fascinating. I loved the combination of sightseeing, storytelling, food, and music. If you're checking out Nashville, A Little Local Flavor MUST be in your itinerary!"
"I was in Nashville for a company sales incentive trip. We wanted to give our reps a flavor of the city, and this tour did that perfectly: it was a home run! The restaurants and taverns we visited were all local and very unique. You must do this when visiting Nashville."
"This food tour was fantastic! Our guide, Sam, was personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She explained about the food and restaurants we visited, and also the history of these restaurants as well as the beautiful city of Nashville."
"Amazing experience. We learned about the history and architecture of Nashville and stopped at a number of great restaurants and bars, places we would have never gotten to experience if not for the tour. This is a 5-star experience! Derrin was a knowledgeable and fun guide."
"Really good food and drinks with a great tour of off broadway restaurants and bars. Stefanie was full of knowledge and gave a lot of history on the alcohol revolution in Tennessee."
"Wonderful experience with ample, delicious portions. Stefanie was a great storyteller who really showed us the fun and spirit of Nashville."
"Excellent tour highlighting small local businesses. Mathew was AMAZING and extremely knowledgeable."
"We had a great time on our Nashville cocktail and upscale dining tour. The specialty cocktails and unique food items were excellent but the real highlight was the background stories that went along with the locations."
"Held a corporate event in Nashville and took the team on a tour. The tour guides were both very informative and had great personalities, and the stops were so great."
"Guide Darrin was wonderful, very personable and knowledgeable. The tour was well paced with the best smoked ribs. Loved visiting the locally owned Mom and Pop spots."
I started A Little Local Flavor eight years ago because I believe the best way to experience Nashville is through its food, its people, and its stories. Every other Nashville food tour company that launched alongside us has either changed hands, been acquired, or shut down. I am still here, still running every part of this business, and still walking the same streets with our guides.
I also have celiac disease. That is not something I work around. It is something I built this company on. Every restaurant on our tour has options for guests with dietary restrictions, because I picked each one knowing what it feels like to sit at a table and wonder if you can eat anything. If you have food allergies, celiac, or any restriction, you are not an afterthought here. You are who this tour was designed for.
Our Nashville food tours exclusively showcase locally owned restaurants and bars. In eight years, we have put over $1.3 million directly into Nashville's locally owned restaurants. It has never been harder to be a locally owned restaurant in downtown Nashville, and every tour we run helps keep these places alive. This is not a franchise. This is not a corporate operation. This is my city, and I want you to love it the way I do.
Nashville has several food tours. Here is what sets ours apart.
